Sunday Coffee Club #003

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right? I know, I know, it’s been a few weeks since the Sunday Coffee Club last congregated. I’ll shoulder the responsibility for that.

Truthfully, a lot has changed since we last gathered. Average temperatures have raised about ten degrees, I’m a father now, and I even have a new coffee table.

Ah, speaking of coffee — we’re not doing anything too fancy this week. As I sit with my son, Fritz, on the couch while watching Tottenham-Wolves, I’m sipping on a Stormio blend from Nespresso.

“An intense coffee, Stormio’s myriad aromas stem from its highly roasted Nicaraguan and Guatemalan Arabica coffee beans that evoke spicy, woody and cereal notes.”

Maybe next week I’ll venture out and snag some fair trade coffee to mix things up. I think my Aeropress is getting lonely in the cupboard, so it might be high-time to revisit a classic. After all, my parents will be in town so it may be time to bust out all the stops.

Not a lot on the docket for me today, fortunately — a relaxing morning of coffee and futbol, the door cracked with the rain hitting the tree outside of our patio, and perhaps an involved dinner later today to make me feel at least somewhat productive. Is duck a possibility? Maybe, but that could prove to be ambitious.

If you’ve got some free time this morning, enjoy today’s episode of The Sunday Scaries Podcast. It’s a touch over sixteen minutes this week which means its perfect for that mid-morning drive to the grocery store. I’ve done you the service of embedding the episode below on Spotify, but if you’re more of an Apple Podcasts person I won’t blame you for listening over there.

How’s your morning? What are you sipping on? Any big Sunday plans?
