BUZZ AROUND DOWNTOWN

So you’re not into golf or lake stuff for whatever reason. Fine. We can work with that. 

The regular options we’ve seen before are on the table - BBQ, breweries, pools, and bar districts. Can’t go wrong with any of those. 

But I’m taking this opportunity to highlight South Congress, which is undoubtedly one of the more touristy spots in town but gives you a good mix of shopping and day drinking. 

You have the guy in your group that’s been talking about getting a “legit pair of boots'' on the trip? South Congress. The guy whose company gives out Soho House memberships to their employees like candy? Guess who’s splitting the burrata 11 ways ! The guy with the girlfriend who has spent so much on Lulu leggings that she’s the proud owner of a perpetual 20% discount? You’re in luck.

It’s one of those streets that you walk up one side and down the other and you get your fill of over-hyped clothing stores and packed patios with decent oyster specials. You’ll have fun and the people watching is second-to-none, but be over it relatively quickly.
